"My name is Craig Parsons and I am the Administrator for the Marion County Health Department. I was born and raised in Hannibal, MO. I got my start in public health as an intern for the Ralls County Health Department in 2013. I moved to Moberly, MO in 2014 where I worked for the Randolph County Health Department for 8 years. I moved back to Hannibal in January 2022 when I accepted the administrator position here at MCHD. I love the Marion County community and am glad to be back serving the area. I look forward to serving you all."

"Hello my name is Crystal and I have been the Marion County Health Public Health Supervisor since 2013. I was born and raised in Hannibal and am married with a beautiful daughter. I graduated from Hannibal-LaGrange College with my RN in 2002. I have a background in assisting the community in the WIC program, immunizations, and communicable diseases. I've loved serving our community as a nurse for the last 20 years and look forward to many more years of service in the future."

Environmental Health Specialist

"Hello, I am Frank Lemongelli, the Environmental Public Health Specialist with the Marion County Health Department, or better known as the health inspector. I inspect food service, lodging, and daycare facilities for compliance with local, state and federal requirements. I also inspect temporary food stands for food code compliance and on-site wastewater facilities for proper installation. If you're concerned about your well water I can collect a water sample to have it tested for bacteria or chemical analysis. Please contact me with any environmental concerns you may have in Marion County."

WIC Dietician / Nutritionist

"Hi, I'm Christie. I'm the WIC Dietitian/Nutritionist. I have worked for the Marion County Health Department since July 2018. I have been a dietitian for 20 years and have spent most of my career working in Long Term Care. I have enjoyed the switch to community nutrition and helping families make better nutrition choices. I also love how WIC encourages and supports breastfeeding moms and appreciate the opportunities available for training in lactation. I hope to use the information I've learned to help more moms successfully breastfeed."

Front Desk Clerk

"Hello, my name is Shay. I am a clerk at the Marion County Health Department. I started working for MCHD in 2019 amid the COVID pandemic. It has been quite challenging. As a clerk, I am responsible for vital records. This involves printing off birth and death certificates. Also, I prepare paperwork for immunizations to be given and data entry. This includes scheduling appointments, answering phones, and communicating with the public and staff. I have several years of experience with customer service and also a health aid for 11 years. I enjoy my job at the Health Department and have wonderful co-workers."

"Hi, my name is Gina and I am currently serving our agency as a communicable disease nurse, public health nurse, WIC certifier, and car seat technician. I was born and raised in Marion County. I became a nurse in 2003 and have tried different avenues of nursing. I find this job very rewarding because I'm helping the people in my community. Marion County Health Department offers a variety of services to the public."

"Hello! My name is Beth. I am the Payroll & Finance Clerk at Marion County Health Department. I began working here in 1989, starting in Home Health. I then became the Front Desk Clerk / Receptionist. I am married and have 2 sons and daughters-in-law, 4 granddaughters, and 1 grandson. Our employees are fantastic, and I enjoy working with every one of them! We all work together to meet the needs of the people in our community. It's very rewarding work!"

"Hello! My name is Misty and I'm your WIC Clerk/ HPA here at MCHD. I started my journey here in 2019 and enjoy helping our WIC families. I grew up in Illinois and currently live there with my family. My Fiancé and I have 4 daughters, a granddaughter, and one dog named Skittles. I enjoy the outdoors, gardening, grilling, taking photos, and spending time with family and friends. "

"Hello, my name is Valerie and I am the Billing Clerk here at Marion County Health Department. I previously worked here for 11 years, and have just recently returned to work at the MCHD. During my time here I have been a Home Health Aid, WIC Certifier, Front Desk Clerk, and Payroll & Billing Clerk. I currently do Medicaid and Contract Billing and the Front Desk. I live in Hannibal with my husband and son. I enjoy working with a great group of dedicated coworkers."

"Hello, my name is Angie! I have been a nurse since 2012. I began my nursing career in Med-Surge and from there worked in ICU, Labor and Delivery, PACU, and am now working as a Public Health Nurse. I am a mother of 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls, and have a small zoo of animals! I look forward to serving my community in my new adventure and meeting many new people along the way."
