Maternal Child Health Programs help improve the health of infants, children, and women in Marion County. The main goal of this program is: Reduce the suicide death rate among youth 10-19 years from 7.8% per 100,000 (CY 2019 Vital Statistics) by 2026 and focus on increasing resources to children and adolescents in regards to mental health/mental wellness.
The Marion County Health Department will promote creating supportive environments that promote healthy and empowered individuals, families and communities.
